Celestron f/6.3 focal reducer vs. a Paul Rini .5x

 Celestron f/6.3 focal reducer vs. a Paul Rini .5x

I compared a Paul Rini .5x focal reducer with a Celestron f/6.3 focal reducer (CFR) on my C5+, a Celestron f/10 5" SCT, focused on a cell phone tower 1000m distant.
The first row of pics are without a diagonal. The second row include a diagonal.
VB = Visual back
CFR - Celestron f/6.3 focal reducer
Diag - Celestron Star Diagonal
E.P - 32mm Nexstar
Cam - Canon R800 w/ recessed lens
Adapter - Scopetronix Digi-T

The CFR is a preferable choice for the C5+, and in in my opinion, on SCT's in general. It's about 3x the price of the Raul Rini, but well worth it. The Rini focal reducer works well on my 80 f/5 refractor though.
